Privacy Policy

What we process and why

• Location. When you pick a spot (or allow geolocation), the coordinates are sent to our forecast service to fetch weather and compute the bite index. We do not build a movement profile and do not store your location history tied to you.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics with anonymized measurement to understand which features are used. You can block it with any standard content blocker without breaking the app.
• Feedback. The feedback widget (feedback.fish) processes the message you send and nothing else.
• Waitlist email. If you leave an email for the Pro waitlist, we store it solely to contact you about the launch. To be removed, send a note through the Feedback button.
• Game leaderboard. If you play the mini-game and submit a score, the nickname and score you enter are stored on the leaderboard.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not require an account and do not collect names, phone numbers, or payment data.
• We do not store forecast requests linked to your identity.

Third-party services

Weather and water data come from OpenWeatherMap and Open-Meteo; geocoding from Mapbox; hosting by Vercel and Render. Each receives only what is technically required to serve your request (typically coordinates).
